Here I go again, writing a review on a movie. I absolutely loved the movie and this review will be more of a personal review rather than a technical writing. Its a total package of everything - drama, comedy and entertainment!!
We are introduced to the character pk on the way, its a journey of 153 minutes in our own country in the eyes of an alien!! And as we watch along, we discover our hypocrisies, our prejudices and our misguided obsession with religion. To touch a topic so sensitive and putting it in front of the huge (Indian) mass is really a very courageous thing. I just loved the way it was put up - with so much innocence that no body has a scope to blame anyone!!
You know the blame game that goes on here... specially in the name of religion.
Once I had an argument with one of my atheists friend and it was very difficult for me to explain the difference between - the faith we have and how the faith is objectified. In pk - they have not only argued this point but its explained so beautifully!
Hats off to Rajkumar Hirani, Aamir khan and the entire crew of pk for having the courage to skillfully illustrate the truth. I wouldn't say the movie is flawless, but I hope it cures people of the brain damage (that's already done in the name of religion).
