Today I looked into one of my old wallet, there was a bunch of papers and few notes. I had collected currency notes with the no. 786. I don't know the significance though, but they say its Lucky!
I wondered why did I keep these torn, worn out papers! And when I looked inside, I found a bundle of memory reels which played before my eyes.
There was paper where one of my student had promised to be decent if I had praised him in front of his Dad that day! The innocence of the letter didn't allow me to tear it off.
I found a Western Union Money transfer slip. I had collected the money and used it but could not throw the slip. I don't need to Show it to anybody but I needed to See it. One of my friend who was working in a far away country wanted to treat me and had send the money. Apart from memory I have this slip, the only physical object. These were just pieces of papers but brought a lot of joy, more than the 2 thousand bucks I found in between these worn out pages. So I folded these papers again and kept them in the wallet hoping to forget about it all and on another gloomy day open the joy of the past. And evaluate it with the cash that I have in there. The day currency notes looks more important I shall throw it all!!
very well said Paro!!! I am touched the way you write the simple incidents so beautifully, keep up the great writing!!!
